Tom Smith - The Story of Uncle Joe Cannon

What a fascinating talk at the January meeting by Tim Smith on Uncle Joe Cannon. Tim is a retired lawyer from Danville who took an interest in learning about the life of Joe Cannon and is now an expert on the topic.
Cannon was from Danville and a former Speaker of the House of Representatives and charter member of Tuscola Masonic Lodge. He was responsible for bringing what is known as the VA hospital to Danville.
We also welcomed James Wasson as a new member of Illini High 12!
